This work was made during a residency at Electro Studios in Hastings and shown in their exhibitions space afterwards alongside the works of Sam Smith, Becky Beasely and Leah Clements in an exhibition, Oceanic Feelings, funded by the Arts Council and curated by Mariana Lemos.
Thematic/contextual information
I have recently been thinking a lot about the citizen network of surveillance ('Ring' doorbells and neighbourhood CCTV). With these works, the lights inside are barely visible apart from in the dark or when you lean right over them and suddenly the light is shining in your eyes.
