‘Yozora’, meaning night sky, is a site specific installation of accumulatively constructed cast porcelain forms.
These forms, cast from the origami fold ‘kusudama’ are suspended in a simple tapered formation to create an alien landscape of form, colour and texture that can only be viewed by looking upwards.
Due to the works accumulative construction it can be reinvented and installed in many different formats. The work has also been installed as a wall piece in a later exhibition (renamed Hosonagai).
