Background, history, commissioner of the work
Part of my final year degree show installation 'You can't look back because it's gone', which looked at overall themes of industrial archaeology, de-industrialisation and urban regeneration in the West of Scotland.
Thematic/contextual information
Autobiographical memories from the ReConnect community of artists at Project Ability, ages ranging from those in their twenties to those in their 60’s, about their memories of Glasgow, interviewed specifically for this project. Memories were triggered by showing some of the photographic images I had taken in and around Glasgow. The memories were then collated and printed onto a large reel of paper and hung from sourced scaffolding. To be displayed alongside the video installation.
