Thematic/contextual information
A nostalgic tool exploring Queer/Rural intersections. Handcarved from found wood on the Isle of Bute to create a complete and fluid form. The recogniseable Y-shape references ancient divining practices and the body/mind potential of 'The Y shaped twig', this work is an adapted shepherds crook for wayfinding within the rural queerscape.
