Part of a series of studio-based works made between 2010-2014 that researched and explored the notion that 'nothing is destroyed only transformed'. Matter can only be changed.

Thematic/contextual information

Up and Under, continues with the theme of making the familiar seem unfamiliar. This work uses three familiar domestic objects to explore their materiality. Each of these objects has been deconstructed to a greater or lesser degree paralleling the flux and flow of matter in the physical world.
