Thematic/contextual information
This work is part of a larger series of larger than life fabric receipts. I wanted to elevate the value of a disposable object into something oversized and luxurious. To me, receipts are like serendipitous poems or a secret window into someone's life. They also raise questions about how we value things. The purchasing (and refunding) of honey evokes ideas about sweetness, a term of endearment, desperation, as well as other symbolic properties of the sticky substance spanning across cultures.
