Background, history, commissioner of the work

Thematic/contextual information
This artwork was made as a site responsive work for a once derelict space in the city. It refers to derelict sites that have been overtaken with nature, and allowing for interesting plant life to emerge in often unexpected ways.
The colour palette refers to flowers and pants growing on brownfield sites such as Buddleia and Broom.
The work has been made with sustainability in mind, the withies are a traditional and sustainable material.
