Thematic/contextual information
My work often critiques the utopian visions of architecture & design, exploring the mistranslation between their ideas & realities. 'Nothing Wrong Is With Me' elevates a found kitchen cabinet that has been concealed in pink plaster & concrete. The work plays with ideas of value, functionality & 'masking', which is a widely shared autistic experience where people suppress the visual signs of their autism and imitate behaviours to conform to social 'norms'.
