Part of an ongoing series of works made during 2004-2007 exploring the image of the House. In this instance the lead is used much like as in the building industry to repair and protect.
Thematic/contextual information
Makeshift II was part of a series of works made betwween 2004-07 exploring the 'House image' but more importantly, the make-do and mend approach as a metaphor for managing some very difficult times and an extreme sense of loss.
