Thematic/contextual information
‘Keep’ explores the idea of a safe place. It is constructed from reclaimed wood, found objects and zinc flashing. The found objects used include jug, books and clothes encased in resin. The Louvre panels suggest the idea of a lookout. This is a private protected place. Like the title suggests the form and structure evokes the idea of a central castle tower acting as a final refuge.
