Thematic/contextual information
After attending a Horticultural show in Kelso in 2016 Tony Cuthbert, a top grower, kindly gifted the carrots to myself. This allowed me to create a new dialogue through the work; allowing the impressive carrots to be shown outwith the confinements of Kelso Village Hall.
Their performance is significant due to the displacement of performance art within my practice. Additionally, the movement adds a entertaining aspect to the work which I see as a prevalent theme within my practice.
