Thematic/contextual information
This project explored Art Deco and Art Nouveau architecture and interior design in cinema as a backdrop for – speculative and recorded – LGBTQI+ histories during the Golden Age of Hollywood. Research stemmed from existing oral history archives, photographic documentation, literary sources and Hollywood memoirs under The Motion Picture code of the 1930s.
