Cube Study was made as a part of a self - initiated project.
Thematic/contextual information
This cube was made as a study as part of the development of my work from small paper works, to larger works in wood, itself part of a larger ongoing project that pursues ideas of architectural ‘holdouts’, buildings that have been left behind by their original context.
I turned to the cane weaving technique usually used in furniture making as a way of covering larger surfaces on a wooden frame.
