Background, history, commissioner of the work
This is a studio piece about cocoa beans and my love of chocolate. It relates to the work Coffee/Plastic.
It has been exhibited several times and shown at the Art Hound Gallery, Cambridge.
Thematic/contextual information
The theme of this work is the conflict between loving chocolate and being aware of the environmental demands that the plant requires when grown as a monocrop.
This is a study of the bean as it grows on the plant.
