Thematic/contextual information
My sculptures usually take the form of utilitarian objects that have been rendered unfit for purpose. 'Carpet Burn' follows this train of thought, building upon ideas of functionality, normalcy & things not going to plan. The sculpture resembles a playground slide in primary colours, with the 'slide' element removed & replaced with coir matting flopped vertically down it.
