Background, history, commissioner of the work
'Breathworks' were made as a part of 'Breathless' project. 'Breathworks' were shown in 'In this hollow valley' solo exhibition at Prospekto Gallery, Vilnius, Lithuania, 2019. The exhibition was possible thanks to Lithuanian Photographers Association, Street Level Photoworks and Adam Mickiewicz institute.
Thematic/contextual information
I was testing idea of fragility and strength by using fabricated for me clay vessels into which I breathed in air resulting in expansion of the objects and stretching of walls of the vessels to the point of bursting. Body of work concerned with vulnerabilities of materials and surfaces.
