Thematic/contextual information
I wanted to elevate the value of an everyday disposable object such as a receipt into something larger than life and luxurious. To me, receipts are like serendipitous poems or a secret window into someone's life. They also raise questions about how we value things. The viewer can interpret the list of sold items on this work as they wish.
