The lamp was a part of my solo exhibition '3016' at Glasgow Project Room in 2016.
Thematic/contextual information
The lamp was a part of a total installation called '3016', which was exhibited at Glasgow Project Room in 2016. Imagining a living space one thousand years into the future, the work was playing on the ways the future is portrayed through fiction. With materials used in prop making, the work was a fabulation over the parallels between interior design and set design. With the lamp I wanted to make an everyday item which was pushed to the boundary of recognition while also looking "futuristic".
